Trench Art Knife From WW1 1914
A trench art knife or letter opener made in 1914 probably during the siege of the fortified city of Namur in Belgium between August 20-25, 1914, when German and Austro-Hungarian forces fought and defeated the defending Belgium and French forces. Like many other trench art items this knife is made of an artillery shell fragment which can be seen from the ridges in the handle. On one side of the ricasso "1914" is etched and on the other side "Namur" is etched, hence associating this trench art knife to the time period of the siege.
The knife length is 17 cm (6.70 inches).

The trench art knives in which the artillery shell copper driving band has been incorporated in the design of the knife make them very desireable with collectors of militaria trench art. These were very popular souvenir items during the First World War and during the post war battle field tourism boom.

A beautiful piece of hand carved wood made most likely in India for a child in the early 20th century.
One of the horse heads is a bit cracked and the piece shows its overall age of a hundred year old item.

Antique curule chair – Curule Chair Or Savonarola Chair
This amazing Curule Chair Or Savonarola Chair style comes from an X-design which dates back to Ancient Egypt, Greek and Roman times, the renaissance era and up to the early 1930's. The word 'curule' being an old Roman word for chariot. These types of chairs were originally used by persons of high status and were embellished with ivory and precious metals. This unique chair has carvings of naked women on the arm rests and animal feet in the base, thick leather straps on the seat and back. The strap in the back has been changed and is more modern. It was probably made in Italy in the early 1900's.

Vintage Horses And Carriage Decanter With Cups
A vintage set of a liquor decanter with six small cups in a carriage pulled by two horses. This set is probably European made in the 1970's to 1980's. Six small cups are hung around the liqueur decanter. Vibrant blue colors and gold gilding on the horses, decanter and small cups. The set is in very good condition. One of the horses has a chipped pin that connects to the carriage, all other pieces are in tact. The cork of the decanter is shaped and painted like a crown and the bottle itself is painted with a castle and unknown European city scenery.

Bone Hilt Kris Dagger
This Kris or Keris dagger is just one of the many variations of these weapons that differ among the various culture of Indonesia and South East Asia. This Kris dagger has a bird like figure made of polished bone on the hilt believed to be made by the Bugis people. The bird maybe the mythical Garuda creature from Hindu, Buddhist and Jain mythology. The straight blade, as opposed to the wavy blade, may hint that it is an early 19th century make.

An Indonesian kris dagger with golden decorations and jem-like stones in the hilt-to-blade section. The wood is beautiful and the typical wavy kris blade shows the iron forging techniques making these daggers so famous. We suspect that the blade is much older than the hilt and scabbard, probably from the early to mid 20th century.
