Very nice details of the warrior's lean physique. The base is made of marble and the sculpture is signed by the artist. Beautiful brownish patina.
The sword is glued on and will need attention.

Bronze sculpture of shot-put athlete by Julius Schmidt-Felling.
The sculpting style of the athlete throwing a metal ball seems to be more of an art deco than the earlier realistic style of the artist.
The signature of the artist Julius Schmidt-Felling is clearly marked on the base of the sculpture.
Made probably during the early 20th century when the beginnings of the art deco style started to gain a following.

The shepherd boy (Le berger in French) by Raphael Hubert, a dark brownish patinated bronze sculpture from around the 1920's. The boy shepherd is looking into the distance at his sheep, wearing his hat and only a loin cloth, holding his shepherd's staff. The staff is missing in many of these sculptures. The sculpture is on a very nice base. Marked "Hubert" on the side of the plinth.
Raphaël HUBERT was an artist born in France in 1884 and deceased c.1975.

The carpet seller is one of a series of similar statues of middle eastern Arab figures from the start of the 20th century made in Austria by Franz Bergmann. The sculptures are made of cold-painted bronze with vibrant colors. This sculpture is of an Arab carpet seller presenting his carpet to a potential customer that might have been passing by him in the busy bazar market.

Gaulois By Adolphe Jean Lavergne – Bronze sculpture
Gaulois by Adolphe Jean Lavergne bronze sculpture of ancient Celtic warrior. This bronze sculpture of a Gaul warrior, features the Celtic fighter with his helmet, holding his sword in one hand and a leaf in another, axe hanging from his belt and a fur garment covering his groin. A beautiful depiction of this ancient French Celtic warrior by French sculptor Adolphe Jean Lavergne (1852-1901). This warrior might be a depiction of Vercingetorix (80 – 46 BC) the Gallic king and chieftain of the Arverni tribe who united the Gauls in a failed revolt against Roman forces during the last phase of Julius Caesar's Gallic Wars. After surrendering to Caesar and spending almost six years in prison, he was executed in Rome.

Scottish Fox Hunter By P.J. Mene Bronze Sculpture
Scottish hunter holding the freshly killed fox retrieved by his loyal dog. This bronze sculpture of a Scottish hunter with fox by Pierre Jules Mene (1810-1879) captures the victorious final moments of the hunt as the fox is captured. This casting is in excellent condition showing all details of this Scottish hunter wearing his kilt, leather and fur sporran (wallet), belt with large buckle, fly plaid cloth wrapped around torso and the famous Scottish Highland dirk hanging from the belt. All of these as well as the dog and the fox are beautifully cast in bronze, crisp and life like just like P. J, Mene was famous for his realistic animal and human sculptures.

German Blacksmith Bronze Sculpture
An Antique early 20th century German blacksmith bronze sculpture beautifully made showing the blacksmith swinging his hammer towards the anvil which is set on a chopped tree truck. The iron piece on the anvil that is being hammered is made loose and comes out.
