Gaulois by Adolphe Jean Lavergne bronze sculpture of ancient Celtic warrior. This bronze sculpture of a Gaul warrior, features the Celtic fighter with his helmet, holding his sword in one hand and a leaf in another, axe hanging from his belt and a fur garment covering his groin. A beautiful depiction of this ancient French Celtic warrior by French sculptor Adolphe Jean Lavergne (1852-1901). This warrior might be a depiction of Vercingetorix (80 – 46 BC) the Gallic king and chieftain of the Arverni tribe who united the Gauls in a failed revolt against Roman forces during the last phase of Julius Caesar's Gallic Wars. After surrendering to Caesar and spending almost six years in prison, he was executed in Rome.

A small art nouveau bronze bust of a woman on stand by sculptor Prof. Amedeo Neri and cast by Aktien-Ges. Vorm. H. Gladenbeck & Sohn signed 1902. The words "Aktien-Ges. Vorm. H. Gladenbeck & Sohn" translate as "Aktien Company, formerly H. Gladenbeck & Son." The company made monumental statues as well as smaller figures in bronze. The company was located in Berlin and operated from 1851 to 1926.

Scottish hunter holding the freshly killed fox retrieved by his loyal dog. This bronze sculpture of a Scottish hunter with fox by Pierre Jules Mene (1810-1879) captures the victorious final moments of the hunt as the fox is captured. This casting is in excellent condition showing all details of this Scottish hunter wearing his kilt, leather and fur sporran (wallet), belt with large buckle, fly plaid cloth wrapped around torso and the famous Scottish Highland dirk hanging from the belt. All of these as well as the dog and the fox are beautifully cast in bronze, crisp and life like just like P. J, Mene was famous for his realistic animal and human sculptures.

Pompeian Bronze Bookends “The Sculptor”
Beautiful Pompeian Bronze Company Bookends of the "The Sculptor" from 1920's in art deco/nouveau style. These bookends were made by the Pompeian Bronze Company of Brooklyn, NY during the 1920's. They copyrighted this set as named "The Sculptor" in 1921. Each bookend features an ancient Greek style nude figure wearing the traditional cloth and holding a mallet in his right hand. These bookends are made probably of spelter and are in very good condition considering that they are now 100 years old.

German Blacksmith Bronze Sculpture
An Antique early 20th century German blacksmith bronze sculpture beautifully made showing the blacksmith swinging his hammer towards the anvil which is set on a chopped tree truck. The iron piece on the anvil that is being hammered is made loose and comes out.

Three Thai Thephanom Statues Set
A set of three Thephanom statues made of bronze and covered in gold leaf. In Thai Buddhist mythology the Thephanom are angels or deities who are temple protectors and guardians. The Thepanom first came to earth when Buddha reached enlightenment becoming his protector, guardians of religious temples and artifacts such as scrolls.

The Liberator by Sculpture Yevgeny Vuchetich
The Liberator sculpture by Yevgeny Vuchetich, featuring the idealistic Soviet liberator warrior with his sword pointed to the ground symbolizing the end of combat, holding in his other arm a baby girl symbolizing the future, and stepping on a broken swastika symbolizing the defeat of Nazi Germany.
The Liberator statue is located in the central monument at the Soviet WW II Cemetery and Memorial in Berlin-Treptow, Germany. Almost 5000 soldiers and officers who died during the battles for Berlin are buried next to the bulk mound. It is a bronze sculpture 11 meters tall (36 feet), weighing 63 metric tons (70 US tons) made by famous Soviet sculptor Yevgeny Vuchetich and dedicated on May 8, 1949, the 4th anniversary of the Soviet victory over Nazi-Germany.
